The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resourse Development (MHRD), in association with University Grants Commission (UGC) is organizing 11 rounds of National Essay Competition on Fundamental Duties to commemorate the 70th year of adoption of our Constitution.
There will be one Essay Competition every month.
Topic will be based on one Fundamental Duty chosen for the month. Actual topic will be announced at the Centre.
Eligibility:
All students of Higher Education Institutions in India are eligible to participate.
How to participate:
Students are required to register at www.kartavya.ugc.ac.in
Schedule:
No closing date for registration. Registrations received till 10th date of the month will be allowed to participate on the competition on 26th of the current month. Registrations after 10th will be accommodated to participate on 26th of the subsequent month. (For January, the competition will take place on 27th Jan).
Online exam of duration 2hrs in designated centres of National Testing Agency will take place. Applicants can choose centres while registring online. English language applicants will have to give online exam. Hindi applicants will be provided paper at exam center.
Prizes:
First Price 15,000; Second Prize 12,000; Third Prize 10,000 and Fourth Priize will be 7,500 along with Certificates for all successful participants.
