Shimla: In order to create future-ready students and empowering them to access job opportunities embedded in the drone sector, 9 universities of Himachal Pradesh along with 50 colleges and technical education department entered into memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA) for running drone flying training related skill development courses.
A spokesperson said that MoUs were signed in the presence of principal secretary (education) Rajneesh. He said that this is the next major step taken by the state government towards promotion of drone sector, in keeping with provisions of Drone Policy-2022 which has recently been approved by the cabinet during its meeting held on June 6.
