Amid COVID-19, DTTE delays application process of Delhi Common Entrance Test

The Directorate of Training and Technical Education, DTTE Delhi has delayed the application process for Delhi Common Entrance Test or Delhi CET 2020. As per the latest notice released on the website the application forms will be released after May 3, 2020. The candidates who aspire to appear in the exams can do so through the official website cetdelhi.nic.in.

The application process had begun last year on April 1 and will end on April 30. This year however due to the nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic the exam dates are yet to be decided on and the Directorate will probably release the schedule of the exam after the lockdown is lifted.

In an earlier update, DTTE had announced that it would be releasing the online applications on April 17, 2020. However, the lockdown been extended to May 3 has delayed the release of the application forms even further.

The exam will be an objective multiple choice question, MCQ based exam where the candidates will have to attend 150 questions in 2 hours and 30 minutes. It is conducted in offline mode that is it is a pen paper-based exam.

The candidates would have to pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or biology as the third in order to appear for the examination. The maximum marks of the exam are 600.
